Visualizations
Do a thorough write-up of all five questions. Be creative and positive as you move through your visualization. Close your eyes and imagine it, as you go through each step.
1. Where are you?
2. How many people are in your audience? What is the demographic?
3. What song are you singing? How many people are in your band? What instruments are they playing?
4. Consider potential problems- how could those be addressed?
5. Describe what you feel, hear, see, smell, and/or taste, as you walk on stage, sing your song and experience a successful, enjoyable performance.

“I Love Bein’ Here With You”- PRACTICE!!!
Prep for Finals
You will need to be able to listen to a song and identify the instruments, style, how the instruments are used, and to articulate a well-supported argument for your opinion of the song. Make sure you are familiar with musical vocabulary, specifically these terms, and can use the terms correctly:
1. Tone Quality- the sound of a note, whether it is being sung or played
2. Correct Placement- when singing, sound should resonate in the mask, or the front of the face, similarly to when you are humming
3. Style- the genre to which a singing or playing technique fits into, based on how it is sung/played
4. Intonation- how accurate a pitch is
5. Rhythmic accuracy- whether rhythms are correct
6. Style-appropriate diction- pronouncing words in a way that is correct for a specific style (for example, enunciating with musical theater, or pronouncing words more conversationally with jazz)
7. Emotional Intent or Expression- the communicated emotions expressed in a piece
8. Dynamics- the range of volume
